The event is hosted and sponsored by Friends of Sonora, Inc., a non-profit organization.  The Final Registration, No Host Cocktail Party, Raffle, Auction, and the Awards dinner are held at the San Carlos Plaza Hotel. The tournament is conducted under International Game Fish Association rules, and the monies go to help the local Charities.
